Instructions: RAW* Edition

First use instructions:

This product is made with FDA approved 100% natural materials and has not been sealed or finished. This Raw Edition of Canadiano requires more care as wood in an unfinished state will crack and adapt to it’s environment. Formation of cracks and movement of wood is natural and will not effect the performance of your Canadiano.

*We do not recommend use of this product for individuals with nut or other specific allergies.
** Do not put the Canadiano in the dishwasher or leave in a sink full of water.
*** Raw Edition Canadianos require more attention as they will get damaged and crack if not maintained and care for properly.

Please follow the instructions below before you first use your Canadiano.

1- We recommend washing your Canadiano thoroughly with warm water.
2- Rinse with warm water a couple of times to get the saw dust out.
3- Place on large mug.
4- Season the bowl: brew a cup of strong coffee with 4-5 tablespoons of ground coffee.
5- Let it steep, stir regularly, drip, and fill the cup. Then rinse thoroughly. Don’t let hot water pool in the bowl for more than 2 minutes, stir regularly*.
6- Don’t Drink the first Coffee. It may have sawdust, natural wood oils, or shipping dust in it.
7- Place Your Canadiano in outside of it’s box, somewhere with good air flow to air-dry.
8- It is natural for the wood to develop small cracks. Wood moves and adapts to the humidity and temperature of your environment. This will occur more regularly in the Raw editions.
9- You are now ready to brew your first cup of Canadiano.
*Note: Do not leave the coffee grinds in the bowl after you have brewed a coffee, rinse immediately.
